JOY V. HARRISJoy V. Harris, a Philadelphia native, creative, musician, and educator, earned three degrees in Special, Elementary, and Early Childhood Education from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania that led her to begin a career as an educator and servant leader.
After her time as a classroom teacher in Philadelphia and Chester, Pennsylvania, she began a new stage of her career working with communities of people that require mental health support. She has spent more than 15 years developing her unique approach to service and care that centers love, sound, and access to energy. She is also a talented producer, musician, and singer and she plays the drums with passion and leads the worship experience at her church in Philadelphia. Moreover, Joy enjoys using her hands creatively through woodworking, writing poetry, and arranging melodies. In her free time, Joy loves to travel, which has included a three-month voyage throughout Europe and road trips across the country. |
